Shot Spies Land Rover Discovery Sport 2020
Land Rover is currently working on an update for its Discovery Sport, the current generation introduced for 2016, and a prototype has just been seen. Although like that, until now it won't be a facelift style update that your typical reason is that there will be major changes made on the basics, exterior and small SUV cabins. This is part of the Land Rover plan to offer electricity in all models by 2020.
Land Rover also developed the latest version of the current Sport Discovery D8 platform (referred to as LR-MS). This platform offers more space and capacity for the electric powertrain, debuting in the redesigned Range Rover Evoque 2020. When launched, the updated Discovery Sport also offers a 246-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that pair with 9-speed automatic. This lightweight hybrid Powertrain available using the same 2.0-liter factory will offer 296 hp. The same powertrains feature in the redesigned Evoque. Finally, the hybrid plug-in option will join the flip.
When viewed from the exterior, maybe the designers have adopted a sleeker look. The front and rear fascia also uses the latest designs on the headlights.
It is also hoped that the interior will receive great refresher to compete with increasingly popular newcomers such as the Volvo XC60 and the latest BMW X3. Maybe later we will also see Land Rover introducing a new infotainment system that displays several screens, which first appeared in the Velar Range Rover and also features in the redesigned Evoque.
