Road & Track puts BMW M2 Vs Camaro SS Competition

Until now, the BMW M2 Competition was in a quite interesting position in the market. Because, the price we can compare with two cars in a different world. In a more general world, M2 Comp is compared to cars such as Porsche Cayman, Audi TT RS and even Alpine A110 (in Europe). In addition, it can also be compared to cars like the Ford Mustang GT and the Camaro SS, cheaper cars but each bit has a faster speed. This last comparison is rather new for BMW and fans, so when Road & Track pits Comp M2 against the SS Camaro, we pay attention.

In this test, R & T brought the M2 and 1LE Camaro SS Competition to the Thermal Club in Palm Springs, California, to find out which car had better performance. We know the BMW M2 competition well. This is a sturdy BMW M2 version. And more interestingly, the BMW M2 has also packed a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged I6 engine with 405 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The blown-six punchy is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox (in this test, the six-speed manual is optional), which sends power to only the rear wheels. The sidewalk weight (with DCT) reached 3.655 lbs. As for the Camaro SS 1LE, the 6.2-liter V8 pack which is sucked in by natural means makes 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. In this test, the sturdy V8 is paired with a six-speed manual and of course it only uses the rear wheels. Even though it was stronger, he tipped the scales at £ 3.780.

So, which do you think is better on the road and on the track? Now, you just need to look at R & D reviews. It is interesting to see a comparison between the two cars, considering they are from two different worlds, have powertrain that is very different and looks very different, although different but has one purpose.
